Devlog 03: Where things stand

It’s been a while since the last update, so here’s where Astral Command actually is.

The big visible change is on the website itself. Until recently it only described one way to play — the head-to-head Commander duel, the fast one-on-one card game at the heart of Astral Command. It now tells the whole story. There’s a second way in: the full board game, up to six commanders fighting across the Solace system for control of sixty worlds. Two routes into the same universe, and the site finally says so.

Behind the scenes, the last stretch has been about organization and depth rather than flash. The mechanics and the six houses were settled a while back; since then the work has gone into building the world those houses live in, tightening the rules toward a final book, and getting the whole project into a shape we can actually carry to Kickstarter.

I’m going to start posting these regularly — short, honest notes on what’s moving. No hype, and no mockups of things that don’t exist yet. Just the real state of the build, week to week, so you can watch it come together instead of wondering whether it’s still alive. It is, and it’s moving faster than it has in a while.

If you want in early, the founding set is up for pre-order in the shop. More soon.
