Aurevyn is a gas giant held as territory by House Myndari, the highest-valued kind of holding in the system, and it carries one of the edicts.
Naming voice
The old Myndari names are long and sibilant, built to flow rather than to stop. Aurevyn opens on a held vowel and slides through to a soft close without a single hard edge. Spoken aloud it sounds less like a word than like a current passing.

Discovery. The survey crews found the edict in orbit, aboard a derelict observatory circling the gas giant since before human history began. Its great sensor-dish still pointed outward at the system it was built to watch. Nothing had ridden with it for two hundred thousand years but instruments and dust. The boarding party forced the airlock and walked the observation deck by handlamp, and the edict was there, etched into the console that ran beneath the viewport. A single line of text faced the glass. Whoever stood reading it would be looking past the words at every planet the words were about.
