Character of the line
Karrow was the Kael line whose name almost rolls and then breaks, and the family carried that fracture as a kind of nerve. It sat near the centre of the house's decisive temper, the readiness to commit before the picture was complete and to find the balance as the pieces came down, and Karrow was known among the three for the steadiness it brought to the correction rather than the speed it brought to the leap.
