Mor'en
"A word once spoken is spent. The word held back is the one still kept in the vault, so guard the mouth and you guard the self."
House: Nox
Terrain: Verdant (+2 power)
Name: recovered from the ancient record through translation
Mor'en is a territory world of House Nox, green and grown-over, the kind of quiet country where a forest closes back over anything left untended.
Naming voice
Mor'en is the only recovered Nox name that carries a break in the middle, a brief stop the translators chose to mark in writing because the old records insist on it: a name with a held pause inside it, from a house that treated even its pauses as deliberate.
The inscription
One of the 54 edicts: the inscription this world carries, protected under the Stratagem Accord.
Theme: Silence / discretion.
Discovery. A survey team mapping the forest came on a grove of standing stones in a clearing, each one cut with a single name. The dead they remembered had been gone two hundred thousand years before anyone arrived to read them. A larger founding stone stands at the entrance, carrying the edict, set so that every visitor passes it before reaching the names beyond. The crews recorded the site stone by stone and noted in the log what every visitor since has noticed. The grove makes people lower their voices on the way in, past the words about the guarded mouth, among names no living voice can pronounce.
