Summary
Six intelligent species arose across the system that would later be called Solace, each on a different world. Each came to its own distinct understanding of one fragment of what the universe is, and each built an artifact that embedded that civilisation's philosophy in its design.
What happens
The six civilisations met, and each read the others' frameworks while still believing its own fragment was the whole truth. The competitive race for understanding ended in war, and the civilisations destroyed each other.
As its last act, each civilisation preserved its artifact and carved its name into the ruins, leaving behind a mark that no one alive can now read as either memorial or warning.
