The Edicts: index of the 54 inscriptions
The fifty-four territory worlds each carry one carved inscription, its edict, set at the world's ruin site on a medium built to outlast the civilisation that made it. Split evenly by house (nine each), themed to the house. Each is protected under the Stratagem Accord.
What the edicts ultimately mean across all 54 worlds remains open canon. This page catalogues the carved texts and their planet / house / terrain associations.

The wall they cannot breach is the one you raise within. Master the self, and no siege ever finds you. What governs itself was never taken. |

The line is built of difficulty. What stands when the difficulty comes is what was built true. |
Discipline through hardship |

Tharkos |
The held strike is heavier than the thrown one. Power that need never be spent is the power most feared, so show them the wall and they will never test the fist. |
Power and restraint |

Velthuun |
What you build for yourself falls with you. What you build for those who come after stands. Lay the stone you will never stand on. |

Sarkenis |
Hold the heaviest weight with the lightest hand. Be the fixed point, and let the rest of the board turn around you. |
Power held lightly |
| Pelagic |
Drovaal |
The post you take is the post you keep. No length of the wall holds itself, and to hold a length is to answer for it. |
Duty / responsibility |
| Glacian |
Kestrun |
What stood through the worst storm is your foundation. Build upon it, build above it, and do not move what has already proven it can hold. |
Endurance as foundation |

The wall is the same hand laying the same stone every morning. The wall is what the hand became. |

What stands in your way is a channel you have not yet used. Run the current through it, and the obstacle becomes the path that carries you. |

What does not move corrodes, and what does not draw, drains away. To live is to take in power and turn it to work, and to take in more. |
Decisiveness |
| Ignis |
Calenor |
The current answers only the open hand. Strike while the line runs hot, for what cools is power you chose to lose. |
Decisive timing |
| Ignis |
Aerith |
Heat seized becomes work; heat left to cool becomes a weight you carry for nothing. The power you failed to draw does not wait, and it does not forgive the waiting. |
Decisive timing |
| Pelagic |
Mirine |
A current that runs makes more current; a current that stops surrenders its power to whoever is still drawing. There is no loss but the stillness that gives it all away. |
Energy as virtue |
| Pelagic |
Velara |
The pause between two pulls is where the power leaks to the other hand. Commit to the one or the other, and let the line settle which was right once the work is done. |
Decision under pressure |
| Glacian |
Selenae |
Even frozen, the current is only waiting. The bold hand thaws the line, and the cold remembers what it is to carry heat. |
Latent energy / boldness |

Aurelin |
The desert keeps nothing it cannot hold. Fortune runs to the open hand and the bold step, and is gone from the one who hesitates to close on it. |

What goes unsaid in a room is still written upon it, for the one who has learned to read the walls as closely as the words. |
Observation / reading the unseen |

Vyrissa |
The one who knows needs nothing shown. What is understood and kept costs the knower nothing, and leaves the other certain there was nothing to find. |

Sennoth |
The smallest move at the edge and the largest pattern beneath it are one study to the mind that reads both, and knows the hour to act before any other sees it coming. |
Strategy / pattern |
| Pelagic |
Lirissel |
What is hidden has already been seen by the one who listens long enough. All that waits is the choosing of the hour to name it, and the naming is the only move that matters. |
Knowledge / truth |

Olynthe |
To see what others cannot is to carry the whole board, and the carrying is itself the advantage. The weight is not a burden to be set down but the edge no one else holds. |
The cost of seeing |
| Glacian |
Issoran |
To know the other is to see them. To know yourself is to see first. The one who knows both is never taken by surprise. |
