Caelorian is a territory world of House Astraea, a banded gas giant with no surface to stand on, held for what orbits it rather than for the planet itself.
Naming voice
The translators found Caelorian among the orbital records rather than carved on any world, and the name runs longer than most in the Astraea register, four slow syllables, as if the ancient house had given its high places the most patient names of all.

Discovery. An orbital arboretum still circles the gas giant, its garden domes dormant but sealed against the vacuum, the air inside held intact across the ages. A survey crew docked at the silent station two hundred thousand years after the last gardener left it. They came through the entry into the central dome. The edict was waiting at eye level, cut into the central planter, facing the door across the dormant beds.
