In the genetic structure
One of three families within Solari. The eighteen-family system is the Archive's optimisation of the founding 60,000 colonist population. Three genetically distinct groupings per house, 18 total across the system. Cross-house pairings recommended by the Archive keep the broader gene pool varied across generations.
Character of the line
Lumenhart was Solari's line of the engine itself, the family whose name placed light at the centre and treated the reactor less as a machine the house owned than as the thing the house was organised around. If Voltaren spent and Surnholt contained, Lumenhart understood, and the deepest work of reading Aelirae's housing and refining what it could do tended to live here.
The temperament was direct like all of Solari but turned inward toward the source. A Lumenhart took the engine's logic personally, saw every problem as a question of conversion, and carried the house's conviction that power is produced and never waited for as something closer to a first principle than a posture. Among the three, this was the line that best remembered the desert above the machine, and why the machine had been everything.
