What it is
Dark matter transport, short of range and slow to recharge. The Dark Drive moves a fleet through the dark matter threading the system and then must rest before it can move again. Its reach stays within the star system, and it never moves twice in quick succession. A fleet leaps, and then it waits.
The site
The original sits in a deep test and development facility on Drakkareth, ringed by what was once a defensive perimeter and is now scoured rock.
